Sure, ChatGPT might say an EP is a healthcare professional who studies how exercise affects the body—but that sounds a bit dull, right?
We like to think of ourselves as a mix between a strength and conditioning coach and a physiotherapist. Instead of just treating an injury or condition, we focus on YOU as a whole.
Our movement-based rehabilitation approach helps you understand your body, work through challenges, and find solutions together.
We won’t tell you to stop training or put your life on hold. Instead, we make rehab engaging, effective, and even fun—while ensuring you know exactly why you're doing what you're doing.
Plus, we’re based inside a strength and conditioning gym in Newcastle, giving us the perfect space to accurately test, train, and fine-tune everything you need to improve.

You have all the information we need to assist you. However, if you have any additional documents such as reports, GP letters, or scans that you would like us to review, please bring them along. We maintain regular communication with most GPs and specialists in the area, so if you want us to collaborate with them, we can reach out. Essentially, if it's important to you, please bring it along.
Yes, for Medicare-rebated appointments, you will require a specific referral known as an EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) from your GP. Please note that there will be a gap payment for these appointments.
At our facility, we have a HICAPS machine that accepts all private health funds. When you provide your health fund card, we can swipe it to process your claim and determine the rebate amount. Following this, you will only need to pay the remaining gap, which may vary depending on the coverage provided by your health fund.
During your initial visit, we want to hear your entire story, so we allocate one hour for the session. Subsequent sessions with us are scheduled for 30 minutes. Additionally, we offer 45-minute Performance Rehabilitation sessions, which are known for their exceptional value at NPR.
That's an excellent question, and the answer depends on your personal values and preferences.
If your main priority is finding the cheapest treatment and receiving predominantly hands-on therapy, then our services may not align with your needs.
Similarly, if your goal is to have frequent visits three times a week for an extended period without fully understanding the rationale behind it, our approach may not be suitable for you.
However, if you value honest and up-to-date advice, effective treatment methods combined with a friendly and what I would call quality banter, then we are your right fit.
Our focus is on helping you comprehend and resolve your issue without the need for lifelong treatment. We provide coaching to enhance your understanding of the problem, collaborate on finding solutions and develop a plan that includes self-care strategies to change your behaviour and environment. We aim to be your partner throughout your rehabilitation journey, offering ongoing support beyond your scheduled appointments.
Ultimately, if you desire a service that promotes understanding, provides collaborative solutions, and offers continuous support, we are the right choice for you.
